Grandfather Joe has played for children for the past 35 years, strictly for fun. Recently retired, I have begun a new career as a children’s (and old timer’s) musician and am available for all occasions, including schools, birthday parties, summer reading programs, day camps, nursing homes, etc. I can be reached at 609-625-5201 or by e-mail at Joe@grandfatherjoe.com. (All priced reasonably) 1) Paws, Claws, Scales and Tales Program (in conjunction with the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey’s 2006 Summer Reading Programs). Ages 3 to 10. Songs such as Big Blue Frog, Aba Daba Honeymoon, Unicorn Song, Boa Constrictor, Going to the Zoo, The Baby Shark Song, Man Gave Names to the Animals fill up a lively interactive program that appeals not just to the kids, but the adults as well. (Every song has a singalong chorus) Additional songs included—The Ants Go Marching Home, Bungalow Bill, Take Me out to the Ball Game (With Animal Baseball Caps), Six Little Ducks, Spider on the Floor, Down by the Bay, Jig Along Home, Waltzing With Bears, I Wanna Be a Dog, The Cat Came Back, Bingo, Dinosaur Sleeping in Your Bathtub, Waltzing With Bears, I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly, etc. (A Children’s Program) (I’ll never give up this great animal friendly show!!!!) 2) Grandma, Grandpa, and Me – An interactive program for libraries, church groups, etc. which has grandparents singing songs they have long loved and now their grandchildren will join in with them. (Parents invited too) – Songs include Little Help From My Friends, When I’m 64, Blue Suede Shoes, Tutti Fruitti, (Ages 2 to 92). What a great day for you and the grandkids!—Additional songs include Puff the Magic Dragon, Peanut Butter & Jelly Song, You are My Sunshine, Workin’ on the Railroad, Michael Row the Boat Ashore, Don’t You Push Me Down (Woody Guthrie), This Little Light of Mine, Keep A-Knockin (with Knock-Knock jokes)! (A Children’s Program) 3) Old Time Singalong – Just an old fashioned sing along with song sheets (with BIG PRINT). (Ages 55 to 110) (young’uns welcome) – Songs include On the Way to Cape May, Sentimental Journey, Grand Old Flag, Give My Regards to Broadway, Yankee Doodle Dandy, Heart of My Heart, Enjoy Yourself—It’s Later Than You Think!, Bye, Bye, Blackbird, Wedding Bells Are Breaking Up That Old Gang of Mine, Shine On Harvest Moon, Minnie the Moocher, Aba Daba Honeymoon, Baby Face, Five Foot Two, Side by Side, My Little Grass Shack, and Good Time Irish Songs, including Danny Boy, Mary Mack, The German Clockwinder, My Wild IrishRose, TooRaLooRa, When Irish Eyes Are Smiling, etc. and a wonderful Patriotic Medley, including 4 Armed Services songs.
